Last time I looked out, bout 6:30, it wasn't snowing in gtown. They are predicting about 1-3 around here, but I'd not expect to get the 1. I personally really like snow and actually wish they didn't clear some of the roads as fast as they do. But, then again I play in it as much as try to be productive.

That sounds like a ton of fun. Considering the Miata feels like it's got a ton of power in the snow that TA will be wicked.

Did you get the last bit of exhaust in? If not at least they will be able to hear you coming.

Well. We ended up with a fair amount of snow. But, the stupid snow plows had the roads clear on everything past the driveway and untill I turned into the shop. I did get to do a couple donuts outside the shop, but otherwise it wasn't even fun. The rain also sucks.

well I-75 was a mess at 2 in the morning. I did some ass puckering tail whips getting on to the interstate, then I got to ironworks pike and decided to slide across all the lanes from the slow lane, sideways almost into the concrete center divider. Then I got control again to do a couple 360's and watch all the headlights come right at me, but once I crawled to georgetown rd it was nasty but ALOT better than I-75.

It takes me 35 minutes to get home, last night was 1:20 minutes.

Took the TA to nicholasville to get the exhaust pieced together. Side roads were slushy. Lots of wet snow in parking lots and my little road.
Traction is a joke :) I've GOT to ditch these 16x8 wheels and get some 17x9 on there.

my s-10 is terrible in pretty much any precipitation. i keep two full cinderblocks in the back almost all the time. i don't even bother driving in weather like this. luckily if i am forced, i can walk everywhere i need to be in 30 minutes or less.

They tend to follow the tracks too. Even with the v-6 it takes nothing to break the ass loose. I'm talking bout dry pavement yet along snow. Yes doughnuts are fun did one in works parking lot.

Even without weight dedicated winter tires will help a ton. With good fresh winter tires it'll transform the Miata from a can't move sports car into a go anywhere till it becomes a snow plow car. Just gotta make sure to put on a full set. Just two will make it more interesting than none at all.

Just don't expect much in dry weather. They aren't terrible on grip, and you might not notice as much with a truck, but they squirm around a lot.

Lowes sells 70lb tube-shaped bags of sand for 7 or 8 bucks a bag... good investment.

I drove my wife to work in Grant county at 7:30 this morning. The interstate was covered, but the only thing dangerous about it was the drivers who thought snow covered roads are okay to go 55mph on. This afternoon around 6PM it was clear almost everywhere, but the water shold be freezing now. Tomorrow morning will be fun.
