In Waddy in Shelby County is this awesome road called 636 (which in itself is cool), it's got some deep curves, blind corners, and it all feels very dragon-ish. This road is on the way to my brother's in Mt. Eden and it is just a great ride. If you take 64 to the Paytona/Waddy exit, turn left off the ramp, and just keep going; the road is fantastic. The only real turn you should make is a sharp right one a couple miles down the road from the exit. If you just follow this road all the way to the 9002 Blue Grass Parkway you will end up right back in Lexington. Here it is mapped out on google:

And you could cross over BGP and continue on 53 for a mile or so, then turn left onto 390....

That is a great road, very scenic.

390? Scenic? Hunh. I never noticed any scenery--just lots and lots of curves! ;-)

636, 44 and 53 are scenic. In a rustic, farm country way... :D

The best part is the illegal cock-fighting house on the way to 636 from the interstate. It's very obvious, surprised they are still in business.
But yeah, curves are great, scenery is great, just gotta look out for deer.

Looks like a fun road from the map. With a few tweaks to that map, you could have yourself a nice little ride.

Yeah if you don't mind a couple miles of interstate, this road is worth it. It's very well paved.

I grew up around Waddy and Bagdad. Lots of interesting roads out that way.

We went to Georgetown, turned left on the bypass, turned right on 227, rode for bit, turned left and ran for Shelbyville in search of gas.... Then down 53 toward 390.

What's the family name(s)? I'm related to Cox and Temple families as well as many others in that area.
